My fiance has 2 go 2 court for a paternity test! And i would like 2 know how it works!!

My husband's ex wife had child in NC while she was still legally married to my husband. His name is now on the child's birth certificate because she was still married to him. He didn't know anything about this until recently now that she is trying to put the child's biological father on child support. To my knowledge, NC law states that the husband goes on a birth certificate even if he's not the father. She contacted child support in NC and said she was told that the father on the certificate must take a paternity test to be removed before they can go after the biological father. Is this correct? Secondly she is having the child support case sent to Louisiana because that's where she think my husband is located, and she said Louisiana child support law says that my husband will be responsible for not only the child whose birth certificate he's on but also her other child. The biological father of the second child is the same man for the first child. He signed an affidavit since they was not married with the second child to have his name put on the birth certificate. The confusing part to me is how will my husband be responsible for a child/children that is not his, and why should he take a paternity test if the biological father is coming forward saying that both kids are his? Can her and the kids biological father get this matter taken care of on their own without involving my husband? Can each party sign an affidavit acknowledging that my husband is not the father and have the biological father state that he is the father?

what does it mean if someone signed acknowledgement of paternity and it says they waive rights to genetic testing?

Do you have to pay child support if you donate to a sperm bank and they use your sperm? And is there any way to get out of it, like a paternity test?

Help! (bad situation)

Trying to find out if grandchild is MY grandchild. Father unavailable to perform test.

I live in NYC and I was just wondering what the process will be since he refuses to take a paternity test when the baby is born. Not because he thinks the baby is his but because his mom told him I can't take him for child support that way. Also, how early can I file for sole LEGAL custody (not just physical) and possibly child support?
Not really worried about child support... So baisicly getting sole legal custody of my son will be easier without a DNA test?

Here is the story I'm getting:

10 years after sleeping with someone once, wages begin getting garnished from his paycheck. He goes to court to find out what the deal is and is told that he missed his court appearance and therefore is now the legal guardian of a kid whose mom apparently put him on the birth certificate but never told him. She apparently never had any contact with him during the pregnancy then she showed him the kid once after it was born and mentioned he could be the dad but refused to get a paternity test. She said the kid didn't look like him, there could be a lot of dads, and then never contacted him again. The court appointed attorney says that they sent someone to his address to subpoena him as well as put in in the paper and he didn't show up so he is the legal guardian. He says he was no longer living at the address and never read it in the paper so he never knew he was supposed to show up to court. Both the court appointed attorney as well as a private lawyer hired years later tell him that there is a loophole in the law and because he did not show up to court, he is the legal guardian and must pay child support now no matter what; even if he was to obtain a negative paternity test now. This all took place in Texas to the best of my knowledge.

This sounds insane to me. Could this possibly be true?!?

I had this cat show up here in February or March, Tiger. She got pregnant and had her babies sometime over Memorial Day weekend. Then in mid June this random kitten showed up, who is now named Deloris. She was really small, so she couldn't have traveled too far to get here.

Now that she's grown, Deloris is built just like Tiger and she even looks like Tiger and has the same tendencies. Just out of curiosity, I'd be cool to know. The only reason that I'm even slightly doubtful Deloris is Tiger's kitten is because Tiger had another kitten that was a lot smaller. But there was a different kitten of Tiger's (that unfortunately got hit about a week before Deloris showed up) and it seemed like his size would have been right with Deloris's.

So is there anyway to get maternity testing on cats?

I'm wondering what's the most accurate and fast DNA test that can be done to prove the father is the father after the birth of the child? Please give me websites you have used or know of. Thanks

my friend said it cost money because they had one done but they had theyres done years ago do you still have to pay or can you get it done for free now? oh and i live in canada

If a woman were to get a paternity test while pregnant, would the father have to give blood or is there any other way to give his DNA? How dangerous is getting an CVS if between the ages of 18-25?

The mother "unofficially" let her ex-boyfriend have her. He may or may not have gained some type of rights over her. i have even heard that this child may either be still with him, or in a foster home. All I know is that there has been NO paternity established for this child. DSS in this state has given me the run-around for almost 3 years. i even found out that this child was in a local foster care facility, here, in the same county for 3 months while my establishment case was opened, 2 years ago. Back then, I was never notified of this from DSS. Instead, they closed my case in July 2004. I am still determined to find out the truth once and for all, whether I am this girl's father or not. Attorneys have told me that I at least need to know where the child is before i can seek a court order. i need help elsewhere, as I am still helpless all this time later. this child is now 7 years old. All I know, is that she could be in either Georgia, or north carolina with the ex's family.
Also, since I am not established as the child's father, foster facilities won't quickly give me info. All i have is the child's full name and birthdate. I even called a PI, and he told me that he doesn't locate children, and that "only DSS would know where the child is" was his exact words. Various DSS employees act as if they don't want to touch this. I have even been told by a few employees to just "give up". Can you believe that? I know who the ex's family is, I have even made contact with them, but they try to avoid me all the way, simply because of my possible connection. So you can see, I have made several different approaches on this. Even though they didn't work, I still believe that there is a way. I appreciate all answers, Thank you.

I saw on one site where someone said you can do it for 0.00. I saw this on channel 8 with Oprah and Qunicy Jones and others. It was amazing what they discovered about their ansestors.

My sister in laws fiance has reason to believe that the baby my sister in law is due with (like literally today) isn't his baby. He refuses to put the baby on his insurance until he knows if the baby is his (my sister in law is getting state insurance for now). As well as refusing to marry her until he knows who's the baby is. I don't know anyone who has ever had to do a paternity test or anything. I am really just curious how long it takes to have one done, who pays for it and how much it costs. Any ideas?

- took a paternity test in september, now this is where the case is, but now I have a hearing but did not receive my test results.
The case was done thru the oFFICE OF CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES. -

requesting a paternity test if child is mine i want to put myself on child support i stay in kentucky and the mother and child stays in virginia, i want to do everything in kentuck not virginia

I just took a home paternity test and it says I am NOT the father. I do not trust this result and I will be taking a real dna test soon, but besides these home tests being unreliable can breastmilk affect the results of a dna test? Somebody here on yahoo with alot of experience says they did but I can't find anything anywhere else that says breastmilk affects dna results when using a swab. Anyone know?

My childrens father has been sentenced 3 years for child support. One of them he says is not his and the mother never showed up to court for the paternity test, but he still got a year for it. The other two are his and he got a year for each one of them. The sentences are to run consecutively. He wants to go back to court to get the sentences ran concurrently. What can be done?
His sentences are not running together right now. They are running one behind the other. As in he would have to serve one sentence then serve another and so on. I have not taken child support out on him. His other children mother's have.

Im at 2 weeks pregnant and i want to know if its a healthy or not.and if not a healthy ones what are the issues in it.the father has a genetical traits that im afraid of coz one of his sibling happen to just died even before he was born and the other was at 2 years old just died with ephileptic...This will be my third child but i have also a history of pre eclampsia and my two kids were born premature.

by simple i mean like tell tell signs, physical appearance or birth lines or even cheap home dna testing.

If the mother wants full custody, and the father wants a paternity test for purposes of child support, can this be used against him in a custody battle?

I'm 14 and very interested in where I'm from. I want to know where i can get information on being tested so that I can complete this dream.

Ok, I filed to have a paternity test and for child support. My sons dad is ignoring all the paper work and acting like hes not getting it. What will happen if they cant get ahold of him for him to do a paternity test?

The dad also has been telling me he wants to sign his rights of his son over to me. How would that happen?

This is a test question for the last scene in God Father Part 3. There are exactly 3 distracters and you can answer only one of the three. However it will be your edit or reason for your answer that will get you your 10 points. As you know in the last scene, an older Al Pacheco falls over to the ground in a simple wooden chair. This scene represents:

A. Al loses his balance and falls over and decides to fall asleep.

B. The left front leg of the chair brakes which makes Al fall over and he is laying there with his face on the ground, contemplating who he is going to hit for making such a cheap chair leg.

C. Al decides to be a little silly and falls over in his chair looking for some female attention.

You can not make up you own answers and you must stick with these three distracters to get the 10 points. Good Luck.
