I'm pretty much convinced that my dad isn't my biological dad. We look nothing alike, have nothing in common, completely different personalities and body types. Everyone I know agrees with me. My mother lies so she wouldn't tell me who the real father is if she knew. I wanna get a dna test but I'm afraid of asking my dad. Can I just go to his house when he is out and get some hairs off his bed? Or would he need to go in person to take the test?

Assume i take a DNA test to know between two men which one is my father and which one is my father's cousin(their fathers are brothers), how do they gonna test it in these two different situations:

A) a test with no sample of my father
B) a test with sample of my father

in both situation a sample of the mother is available.

i am talking about the X-test, Y-test and MT-test(mitochondry test). how do they gonna compare these things?

My boyfriend has an 18 month boy, he found out about the baby when he was 6 months old. So he doesnt know if the baby is his. Where and how is the cheapest and legal way he can get a DNA test in Indiana?

My brother went to Walgreen's and bought a DNA test in a box, swabbed all parties and put all the swabs in the same envelope and they were all touching one another. The results came back and one was in the 92 percentile and the other was in the 96 percentile. Is there a possibility that the swabs were contaminated with his DNA when they touched in the envelope? Does he need to take this DNA test the right way through a reputable company?

my best friend needs to get a DNA test done on his 2 kids. His ex wife is taking child support from him and she cheated numerous times on him while they were together. She lives in Philadelphia and he lives in California. How can he get a dna test done? He doesnt have the money to hire a lawyer.
