I just found out my father passed in 89. I was born in 84. I'm now twenty six...My family is just now telling me, my real father committed suicide. The decease's mother is 87, she is saying why bother, leave it be. If i had a good father that was good to me ...I wouldn't bother. But I don't ..I need answers. So I know. So I need to dna test them. What should I do if there not willing?

I was wondering if someone who has taken a paternal-side DNA test could tell me what information they give you and how it's laid out and all.
I know that getting a paternity test or what-not can take weeks but I was always under the impression this was more the waiting list than the actual doing of the DNA test. If so, how long would a piece of DNA evidence take to be tested? Would it depend on the quality of the DNA sample?
How would a 10 year old girl intrepid that her father is not her real father when a DNA test proves it. That man taught she was his biological daughter. He will tread her like his own daughter, and will still live in the same household as her mother.
How should a father feel when an 18 year old woman claims he is her father and DNA test proves it? She grew up with her mother and her step (adoptive father). She still spends most of her time with her step father. Her mother did not reveal her biological father until she is 18; because that is the only way her biological father could not legally challenge the adoption.
A DNA test to tell them where exactly they came from in africa, what tribe and what family etc. I think that this would give african americans a sense of identity and some closure to the evils of slavery, which we are all responsible for. It happened because of the selfishness, greed and cruelty of white and jewish people.
My husband just found out he has a five year old daughter and the momma won't go to child support so they can do a dna but she is always calling for money. She has been in prison and he would like to get cousty of her but he is on diabilty and can't afford 400 for the test. Does anybody know what we can do
Here's the scenario: two identical twins are separated at birth. One of them dies in an accident, the other one finds out, comes back and claims to be the first one and that the death was faked. If the parents, understandably, don't believe them right away and want proof, would a DNA test show that the twin was the same person as the one who died? Grisly scenario, I know, but I have a weird imagination.
