Can a DNA test determine if a girl is my niece when his suppose father, my brother, is dead now?
Here is my situation: I had a brother that passed away several years ago, now a woman is claiming that her daughter is his child. If this were to be true, I would have no problem whatsoever, but I want to know if a test of DNA of her and me can determine any connection.

It is so true because my cousin who is 36 recently took her son in for a DNA testing. The father has deceased, so the had the guy brother take the test to determine if it was his child. You and your brother has the same mother same genes(blood) so its possible for them to compare genes at percents. The higher her percents compare to yours the results would be positive if not negative. Good luck!
i, think you can but im not so sure
you and your brother share some on the same DNA passed down by your parents so when he had a kid some of the DNA you share was passed on
Absolutely. There should be a testing center in your local phone book! Having a piece of your brother would be an absolute blessing… you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Have the test, even if you have to pay for it! If she is mistaken, no harm, no foul!
I hope it proves to be true and that she is your brother made over! What a gift!
You should be able to get a paternity test by having a DNA sample of you, the child, and her mother. That should give you the answer.
