Can a father force a DNA paternity test if the mother refuses to comply?
Someone goes around telling everyone that ya fathered their kid, but refuses to do a DNA test. Can ya force a paternity test to settle the issue?

yes go to court, and if that does not work Maury Povick would be happy to give her one, hey free trip to N.Y.
yup, take her to court….they will do it for you.
yes. go to court. good luck!
u sure can take the girl to court!!
Of course you can. You just have to take her to court.
Absolutely! But its not free. So, unless she is trying to get money out of you for child support it may not be worth it for you to prove the child is not yours. Leave the burden of proof on her, to prove the child is yours. Of course, if the child does end up being yours then you’ll end up having to pay back child support too, so if there’s a chance, you may want to step up and do the DNA test anyway…
Good luck!
Yes go to the Friend of the Court and they will arrange it.
DO IT MAN!
The father could go to court and get a court ordered DNA regardless of whether the mother wanted it done or not. If she refused she would be in violation of the court order.
I know if the mother is seeking child support she has to comply with a paternity test order. I’m not sure she would be forced to comply if no support is being sought.
Only if he has a LOT of money. He will have to hire a lawyer, go to court, and pay for the paternity test. My BIL had one done and it cost him $600. Also, once paternity is established, he will have to pay back child support and then continue paying it until the child is 18. My BIL paid $5000 for an attorney, half the hospital bill from delivery, and now pays $400 a month as well as paying for health insurance for the child. Expensive.
you need to file a paternity determination at the local family court or a court that can handle equity cases.
The court will order her to submit to testing. If she does not comply then the court will be able to take action against her untill she complies.
Back child support, and such, depend on state laws. You may be able to obtain forms that you can fill out and file. For form availability check with the Clerk of Court at your local courthouse.
If you go through a private lab, you have the option to pursue a paternity test with or without the mother’s DNA sample.
You have the option to have just the father and the child tested.
You can read more about this at http://www.dnacenter.com, and their tests can be used in a court if you ever need to.
I hope this information helps. Good luck to you!
