I would talk to the family and plead your case. Tell them that you just want to know, that you really don't want to hurt anyone. Tell them that you just want to know about your father and where he came from...you may be doing it to appease your mother now, but telling the family that won't help your case at all. Say things like...I hate that this has happened this way. I hate that I grew up without a father because of things my mother did 22 years ago. Tell them that you are looking for closure on the situation and you feel the only way you can do that is to test the men that your mother believes could be your father.
