Does anyone know where to take the mouth swab test to indentify ancestry?
I saw on one site where someone said you can do it for 0.00. I saw this on channel 8 with Oprah and Qunicy Jones and others. It was amazing what they discovered about their ansestors.

There are quite a number of companies that will perform molecular genealogy tests. The prices differ, depending on what tests you want performed.
The Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation will perform the tests for free, but you must provide a four generation pedigree and be prepared to wait a while for the results.
Family Tree DNA in the United States and Oxford Ancestors in the United Kingdom are two companies that charge for the service and provide much more rapid turnaround.
I don’t think anybody can give an unbiased answer to this question because nobody cares about your ancestors except you.

try this out
Google search: buccal swab ancestry
https://www3.nationalgeographic.com/genographic/participate.html
This tells a little about the Genographic Project and tells you how to participate.
Oops. In spite of the "www5" vs. "www3" difference in the website I found and the website the person ahead of me found, it appears to be the same web page.
Yeah, but services to dig up your ancestor to swab the corpse’s mouth for a sample tend to be much more expensive.
There is an organization in Salt Lake City that provides this capabiliy. They require that you submit five generations of ancestors. Name is similar to "Sorenson" I am not where I have this information, so can not give details at this time.
