A paternity test is not a necessary medical procedure, therefore its unlikely that you’ll find a health insurance company that will cover one.
If you get a court ordered paternity test, its possible that you wouldn’t have to pay for the test…depending on how the laws are in your area. That’s something you’d have to ask an attorney.
Otherwise, if you’re just curious about who your child’s father is, then you or he will have to pay for it out of pocket. (You didn’t ask for a lecture, so I’ll refrain from any other comments on that matter…)
NOBODY covers paternity testing BEFORE the baby is born. I don’t know if there’s any such thing. So, no.
No insurance companies cover it that I know of. If you need on to get child support contact CSE for you state and they can get it started. If you cannot afford it then ask CSE about waivers for the fees.
