How can I get legal help to have my ex-wife, presumed son, and myself court ordered to have a paternity test?
I have been ordered (by Arizona child support) to pay child support, in which I has fallen way behind on. I was married to the mother for over 7 years, and shortly after the child was born my wife moved to Arizona (with child). The child is now 17 years old. The support order is based off my earnings when I worked in Massachusetts (17 years ago). I havn't made that kind of money since then. I now feel that the child might not even be mine. I don't make much money now, and can’t afford legal fees to pursue this. I am a vet.
Is there any way Ican get assistance to have a paternity test done?

If you are a vet, you can get legal help through Veteran’s Affairs in your area. For more information go to http://www.azdvs.gov/stateveteranhome.htm
You might also want to try http://family-law.freeadvice.com/child_support/ where you can post your question and some legal experts will tell you what is the best course of action. Good luck.
you need to get a lawyer (divorce) and go back to court to
1) get a paternity test
2) to negotiate support based on your wages now
You can get a paternity test at almost any drug store or online for $20.
If that test indicates you are not the father, then you get a lawyer and file a petition for paternity testing. You will then (should) be able to get an order to get the wrongly payed monies returned to you.
You need to go back to court. Of course, when the child comes back as yours, you’re out court costs AND the back child support and look like a thug trying to get out of paying for his child.
That being said, you could always contact one of the judge shows on TV- the LOVE this kind of drama!
