How can paternity tests reveal the father?
My exgirlfriend says that she is pregnant. Her friends as well. We've been done for a few weeks. Yes we had sex but I dumped her because of suspected cheating. Now I am 17 and she is 15. So a pregnancy is something I don't want.
So can you get a test done to see who the father is?
Also when can you tell when someone got pregnant?
If a girl goes with two guys, and gets pregnant, would it be seen as the last guys child?
She says she is 3 weeks pregnant.

Yes, you can get a paternity test to determine whether or not you are the father. If she says she is 3 weeks pregnant, I would assume she may be lying. People usually get a positive pregnancy test as early as 4 weeks along, maybe later than that. IF she really is pregnant, just attend doctor visits with her and try to be there as much as possible in case the baby IS yours. Ask the doctor she chooses how to go about getting a paternity test without going to court for it, and go from there.
Oh, and no, it doesn’t have to be the "last guys" child, she could have gotten pregnant before she slept with him, or after she slept with him by you.
Yes, you can get a DNA test after the baby is born.
Go with her to an ultrasound appointment, they can tell how far along she is (and when she conceived).
"If a girl goes with two guys, and gets pregnant, would it be seen as the last guys child?" …… uhhh no. it depends on whos sperm got to her egg, lol. you’re not that dumb are you?
I’ve never heard of someone been three weeks pregnant!!!! Its hard to say if you both had unprotected sex with her
if you didn’t want pregnancy to occur why did you have sex esp. without a condom at your age you should always use a condom until your ready to take control of what would be the outcome
if a girl has unprotected sex with two guys and gets pregnant then it could be either one the first one might be the father but it may differ
i think you should give her a call keep in contact and be there for her i’m on saying to go back with her i’m saying you need to support her cause even if it’s not your baby there is a great possibility it could be yours and what if it is.
do your best your very young and things will work out
let your parents know if this also asap
your ex and you should make an appointment to see a doctor together and confirm her pregnancy making sure it’s not a lie to get back at you
after the birth you can test to see if your the father
good luck and take care.
A paternity test is a biological test to see who the biological father of a child is. Generally, paternity tests use DNA – they take a sample of the child’s DNA, and try to match it to the suspected father’s DNA. If the child is male, they can also compare the Y chromosome, since that only is passed from father to son.
An easy way to disprove paternity is blood typing. There are only a few basic blood types, and it is known which blood types in the parents created which blood types in the children.

Thus a child of a particular blood type would exclude men of a certain blood type as being the father.
With the advent of DNA testing as a way of proving biological paternity, simply going by "the last guy she was with" wouldn’t cut it.
This page will explain some of the different types of paternity testing, how much they cost, when they can be tested, etc.:

The earliest that testing can be done for pre-natal tests is in the 10th week of pregnancy. Your ex-girlfriend claims to be 3 weeks pregnant (has she gone to a clinic and gotten a test or just used an at-home test? or has she just had a late or missed period?). If she is actually is pregnant, you’ll have to wait 7 more weeks before the first opportunity for a paternity test.
Good luck!
only a blood test will determine who the father is..and she sounds way to young for all this mess as well as you
you can tell when someone got pregnant by the due date of the baby. the DR will tell her a due date. you may not be able to tell who the father is by the due date if she was having unprotected sex with multiple guys at the same time (not at the same time but around the same time). after the baby is born you can have a DNA test done. after the DNA test is done whoever it matches is the father.
and no ‘they’ don’t go by who the last guy she slept with as the father they go by who the father is which again takes a DNA test.
