I have heard there is a new simple blood test (traces of the baby's blood cells in the mother's blood stream) but that may be somewhat advanced and you may have difficulty finding a lab that does it. If any of the tests so far have determined the baby's blood type, then that can sometimes be used to determine paternity - not easily, since you may find both fathers are the same blood type; but a blood type can usually eliminate about 80% of choices, as long as they aren't the same 20%. Unfortunately, all you can do is wait until birth; then it's a simple swab inside the cheek. It's too bad, but you also have to consider - in some places, if the guy acts like a father for even a short while and then you split up, he will be liable for child support even if it's not his child. Until the law gets some sanity, why would a guy risk that? (I know one guy who adopted his wife's 2 children because she wanted him to be like a father to them. 6 years later, he's paying child support for the next 10 years for kids that aren't his...)
