Must both parents be present paternity test?
My father wants to get a paternity test so that he could eventually get custody of his child, however he delivered his child himself thats why he hasn't gotten one yet. However, the mother will not comply with him apparently, so must both parents be present at the time of the paternity test?

i do not understand the question.
No, they dont.
no, we did one with m son. i was in oregon and his dad was in washington.
Is he an OBGYN?
If this is the case, which I must assume if he did the delivery, it wouldnt in any way affect his ablity to test paternity.
There are many ways to do this, one option (cheapest but doesnt hold up in court) is an online kit, very easy and non-invasive.
Noone needs "be present" you just need the DNA from baby and father.
Usually yes, they compare the child to the mother to make sure it is the right child. They have moms who say the father isnt the father so that he cant have visits or costody, some of those mothers would bring in a niece or nephew or something of the same age so that it will come up that he isnt the father.
They dont however have to be done at the same time. If the father comes in and gives blood(or whatever they want, many use cells from inside your mouth now) The mother could come on her own and either could bring the child.
both parents do not have to be present
They usually know who the mother is.
Sounds like he would have to get a court ordered paternity test done. Its done in a clinic or a hospital, and thye don’t have to be present at the same time…they can go individually.
I went with my friend as she submitted for a test that would determine the father of her child, but the man who was suspected as being the father was not there that day, though he did have to make an appearance a short time later.
They don’t have to be there at the same time, but they both do have to be there at some point.
