Paternity questions and pregnancy questions ide really appreciate some help!!!?
My son is 8 months old and up until now i was pretty sure who his dad was until my mom pointed out how much she thinks he looks like my ex its complicated because i was last with my ex the beginning of march 2008 and got with the other guy the middle of march and had a period the end of march and it was said that i conceived around april 14th just by going by the 1st day of my last period, my due date was january 10th i had my son a month early, My 1st question is has ANYBODY had a period during your pregnancy, even one, or just in the beginning of the pregnancy, not implantation, a full blown period??? Because now im a nervous wreck thinking did i conceive before the period and had the period anyway?!!? i was with the guy my whole pregnancy and after but hes just an awful person and i dont want him in my sons life, my 2nd question is can i have a DNA test shipped to my home and whats the cost and are they accurate? i dont want no mean comments please this is very serious to me and ide just like a little advice and answers thank you so much!! does anybody think theres a big chance he could belong to the other guy even though i had a period? and also my son was born at 35 weeks and was 100% healthy he didnt need lights or oxygen tubes so everyone assumed my son was full term and belonged to the other guy, its all very confusing and i am going to get a DNA done i just want other opinions and answers on the period while pregnant. thanks.

i have heard that the dna test they mail to you are not as accurate because they can get contaminated easily…so i think your best bet is to find out in insurance covers the test and if it does not save up the money and get the test because it is very important that you find out
I’m sorry I don’t know the answer to your first question =( But if you want a DNA test, you can either get on online (I think) or go to the doctor’s office and request for one (it should be covered under health insurance). Good luck!
I had a regular period for the first 3 months of my pregnancy. The only reason why I was quite certain of the date of conception was that it was the only possible date that I could have become pregnant. It wasn’t until a few years ago, that I found out my situation is not rare, just not common.
DNA testing for paternity is not covered by any health insurance or Medicaid because it is not medically necessary.
You can use the online dna test places. The link below is a lab that is accredited; I know several people who have used it with perfectly accurate results. The $89 test is not acceptable in court because there is no chain of possession, which is required for court. It would have to be redone if you were going to court. You don’t even need to buy a fresh box of Ziplocks and Qtips because they supply it. The dna test kits sold at Walmart and some other places make you pay an addition $20 for nothing – the kit contains Ziplocks and Qtips and paperwork. You still need to pay for the test!
That all said, chances are, if the docs said that the baby was full term, he was. There is quite a difference between a 35 week baby and a full-term baby. Sorry to tell you that.
