		<description>not really sure about what exactly you are asking....for instance my ex signed the birth certificate for our son, but did a declaration of parentage for our daughter [due to him being in another country at that point] when it came to child support time the ONLY one that counted was the declaration of parentage, HIM signing the BC meant nothing it seems, at least this was the case in california</description>

		<description>The Department of Community Health receives all original affidavits filed after June 1, 1997. Therefore, it is NOT necessary to send a certified copy of affidavits filed after June 1, 1997. 

Make a note on the Application that the affidavit was completedafter June 1, 1997 so that Community Health can verify the record-ing in the Central Paternity Registry. (The Affidavit of Parentage form should be submitted to DCH several weeks prior to submit-ting the application to change the birth certificate so that there is time for the affidavit to be entered into the CPR).
