I do not have any insurance so dont say look in my manual and so forth. Oh yea does any plan cover that ike healthy famlies, Care 1st,blue cross ect..

My husband has never denied his son. He has always paid the child support and we have always provided insurance on him. However in the 6 years we have known that he is my husbands, he has seen him 4 times. The mother has 3 other children by 3 other men. She originally told my husband that her 2nd child was his, and when she got pregnant with the 3rd child (now discovered to be his), she told him she had been cheating on him and that it was this other guys. They split and she went and married this other guy. Then they split and she filed to get paternity tests done. That's when we found out the 2nd child was not his, but the 3rd child was.
We are completely fed up at this point, as she doesn't work at all, and she lives off the system. My husband would like to sign over rights, but we've been told that he would still have to pay child support. Does anyone know if this is true? Also, does she have to agree to this, or can it just be done?
Just to answer a few of the comments all in one statement: He doesn't necessarily want to leave this child "fatherless". She refuses to let my husband see his son because myself and our 2 girls are in the picture. So, my girls have a brother that they don't even know because he has a stubborn hateful mother.
To comment on back child support, that won't happen. The child support has been garnished from every one of my husbands checks, and even one years tax return to pay the 1 year that we didn't know he was my husbands. So, we have plenty of proof that all payments were made, and that my husband has taken care of his obligations from day one.
Back to the comment about her getting married...that would most likely never happen, because she doesn't want to lose the social security she receives on her 2nd child. Not to mention, probably half of her state aid.

My sister in laws fiance has reason to believe that the baby my sister in law is due with (like literally today) isn't his baby. He refuses to put the baby on his insurance until he knows if the baby is his (my sister in law is getting state insurance for now). As well as refusing to marry her until he knows who's the baby is. I don't know anyone who has ever had to do a paternity test or anything. I am really just curious how long it takes to have one done, who pays for it and how much it costs. Any ideas?

I married my ex when I was young and foolish. I found out he was an abuser after the fact and left him after 3 months. I found out i was pregnant a week later. He had nothing to do with me during the pregnancy and no one in his family even contacted me until my son was a month old. I filed for divorce and he even requested a paternity test, yet he still wanted visitation. He only came to see my son 4 times in the first year, and not at all during the second year. Since then he only exercises his visitation about every 3-5 months. He has moved so many times I can't keep track, but know he lives about 6 1/2 hours away. He only calls when he is telling me he is exercising a visitation and even 9 out of 10 times he sends someone else to pick my son up, usually his mother, who has never forgiven me for divorcing her poor baby. I haven't actually laid eyes on this man for a year. I have written him a letter asking him to be more envolved, but he ignored it. How do I continue to deal with him
Just to add, my son is 10, my ex does nothing more than pay the 0 a month childsupport and he hasn't always done that. He doesn't keep medical insurance on him like he was ordered, he never helps with school supplies or clothes, and has done nothing but critisize my parenting, as if he is father of the year or something.
Also, his mother has shown up early before to pick my son up. I can't stand this woman, because she was right up in the middle of our divorce, speaking for my ex as if he had no voice, she made me out to be a whore and a bad mother, and has taken it upon herself to make decisions in my sons life while he was with her for the visitation. She has thrown a fit before when I don't let him go early, then other times she has shown up an hour or two late, without even a phone call. I can't stop her from picking him up, because the divorce decree allows it.

ok, my boyfriend's brother who i love, just got summons for child support and a paternity test.
it is between him and some other guy, now here are the problems: she doesn't have a job and wants him to pay for hospital bills (the baby was born a yr ago) food, her clothes, her car insurance and payments, all the babies things and all her bills, adding up to 750$ a month!
I find all that ridiculous! My father paid child support for me at 250$ a month and he was a detective, it's not like he couldn't afford it my mother just didn't rob him blind.

So I guess my questions are can she even give right on why he should pay all of this if he is the father when she doesn't have a job
and he is now living in Miami as a contractor Miami is seven hrs away, he wants to postpone having to come up there to take the test to await the results of the other guys test in hope he won't have to drive seven hours. Is there anyway he can request this?
I would love some helpful logical answers, Thanks.
And if he is the father he has already said he will pay what is necessary to make his son happy and healthy, he's not cheap he just wants to be fair. He's a good guy and is responsible.
alright well thank you everyone that was helpful he is going to check out the calculator and he feels much better knowing that all her demands can't be met, he is more than happy to pay for the child if it is his. And for all of you who are just giving me useless answers like it's none of your business 1. he is right here and just doesn't have an account so i posted this for him, thats enough of your petty annoyances and for all of you who think she is being fair 2. i know what its like to grow up without a father and not a lot of money it's hard but my mother cared enough about me to get of her ass and get a job to help cover the rest of the bills (i.e. this woman hasn't worked in over a year so just chill)
oh! and i'll give best answer to whoever was fair and helped the most THANKS!

I had a affair behind my wife's back. My ex-mistress has filed for child support and medical support (1 year old son will be on my health insurance). Paternity test came back positive. Is there any way to keep the child support and medical support a secret from my wife? I'm not ready to tell her yet!

My son is 8 months old and up until now i was pretty sure who his dad was until my mom pointed out how much she thinks he looks like my ex its complicated because i was last with my ex the beginning of march 2008 and got with the other guy the middle of march and had a period the end of march and it was said that i conceived around april 14th just by going by the 1st day of my last period, my due date was january 10th i had my son a month early, My 1st question is has ANYBODY had a period during your pregnancy, even one, or just in the beginning of the pregnancy, not implantation, a full blown period??? Because now im a nervous wreck thinking did i conceive before the period and had the period anyway?!!? i was with the guy my whole pregnancy and after but hes just an awful person and i dont want him in my sons life, my 2nd question is can i have a DNA test shipped to my home and whats the cost and are they accurate? i dont want no mean comments please this is very serious to me and ide just like a little advice and answers thank you so much!! does anybody think theres a big chance he could belong to the other guy even though i had a period? and also my son was born at 35 weeks and was 100% healthy he didnt need lights or oxygen tubes so everyone assumed my son was full term and belonged to the other guy, its all very confusing and i am going to get a DNA done i just want other opinions and answers on the period while pregnant. thanks.
can a DNA be covered under health insurance?

because the amnio has the DNA in it, cant he do a paternity test as well?
how can i go about asking him this? ho wmuch extra do you think it would cost if my insurance covers the amnio?
