Does anyone understand these results???
The Combined Parentage Index is 197,007 (corresponding to a Probability of Paternity of 99.99%, assuming prior probability = 0.5) and
indicates that these genetic data are 197,007 times more likely if Joe is the biological father of Anna than if an
untested, unrelated Caucasian man is the biological father. This genetic analysis excludes at least 99.98% of Caucasian men from
paternity. These results do not supersede any genetic testing directly involving the biological mother of Anna. An extended
analysis was performed in this case and results in a Combined Avuncular Index of 2,248 indicating that the genetic data are 87.64
times more likely if Joe is the biological father of Anna than if he is her uncle.
Conclusion:
Joe is not excluded as the biological father of Anna.

The mother "unofficially" let her ex-boyfriend have her. He may or may not have gained some type of rights over her. i have even heard that this child may either be still with him, or in a foster home. All I know is that there has been NO paternity established for this child. DSS in this state has given me the run-around for almost 3 years. i even found out that this child was in a local foster care facility, here, in the same county for 3 months while my establishment case was opened, 2 years ago. Back then, I was never notified of this from DSS. Instead, they closed my case in July 2004. I am still determined to find out the truth once and for all, whether I am this girl's father or not. Attorneys have told me that I at least need to know where the child is before i can seek a court order. i need help elsewhere, as I am still helpless all this time later. this child is now 7 years old. All I know, is that she could be in either Georgia, or north carolina with the ex's family.
Also, since I am not established as the child's father, foster facilities won't quickly give me info. All i have is the child's full name and birthdate. I even called a PI, and he told me that he doesn't locate children, and that "only DSS would know where the child is" was his exact words. Various DSS employees act as if they don't want to touch this. I have even been told by a few employees to just "give up". Can you believe that? I know who the ex's family is, I have even made contact with them, but they try to avoid me all the way, simply because of my possible connection. So you can see, I have made several different approaches on this. Even though they didn't work, I still believe that there is a way. I appreciate all answers, Thank you.
Originally I served a court order to appear for a hearing to the mother of my son. I was told it was OK to serve her brother she had lived with. Well I served her brother, the court date came, and she did not show up. The Judge said I had to serve her the court papers directly. I served her with court papers and an order for her to not leave the state, that the county I reside in has jurisdiction over custody, and to cooperate with genetic testing. A couple days later she left the state. If I ask for a warrant here in Arizona, and she lives in Georgia, it will not do any good since it will only be a civil arrest warrant. They only extradite on criminal arrest warrants. What am I to do? Am I going to have to file for paternity in the state she lives in now? Are they going to ask me to fly to Georgia for the hearing?
after 16 years i am being told i may be the father of a child. paternity has never been proven. i have to go for test to see if i am father. the state just started looking for me in this matter. I dont mind paying support (if test prove i am father). It isnt fair to the child or me though. If i knew i had a child i would love to have been in his life. I won custody of my son when he was 5 from a previous relationship. its not like i have been running and hiding from this, it just came up last month. I hope the court doesnt try to say i must pay for the last 15 yrs though. anyone have knowledge in massachusetts law in this matter? like i said i havent been adjudicated as father yet nor has a support order been ordered by a court yet. like i said had i known i had a child i would have gone for joint custody years ago. any help would be greately appreciated. please only respond if you have knowledge in this area of the law please.
My acquaintance questions the paternity of his 7 month old son. The child's mother has passed away. He heard that the test costs thousands. That does not sound right to me. He does not want to use an over the counter kit. What is the real approximate cost and are there any agencies that do this for free for people who are indigent?
