Where can I get low cost DNA testing to determine my racial heritage? What test should I do?
I know that my ancestry is mixed and I have no way to determine who my ancestors were by asking family members. I just want to find out what things I could be mixed with by doing DNA testing thats accurate and at a reasonable price that is not too expensive. I don`t know what test I should take.

you’re looking for an ancestry test. That will give you percentages. The price varies. Just use google and put in dna testing. You’ll come up with loads of sites. Just email some and see if they do the test and the cost. It is pricey.
Because you are online it can be assumed with some certaintly that racially you are human. I just saved you a lot of money.
There really aren’t many shortcuts other than genealogy – the topic of this forum. Do you really think knowing where unknown ancestors may have been geographically 10k-100k years ago would be useful?

Simply asking your family is getting clues… it isn’t research. Research means locating old records (many of which are online), and identifying your individual ancestors. Really.. genealogy is not as hard as it seems, just finding out the normal routes. There are some few costs to begin with (like any hobby), but most of it can be done yourself.
DNA is not necessarily the answer to what you want to know. Some will show ethnic background… ie European, Asian, African… but NOT specific countries. If you trace your own personal lineage, you actually work back to Grandpa Jones, you KNOW he is your line, and you find the record that shows he was born in Russia (or near Paris, or whatever). DNA is genetically accurate… but the answers you want might not be those which dna will answer.
If curious, you might stop over at http://www.cyndislist.com, and browse through her thousands of research sites, to get an idea of the types of things out there. That includes beginner tutorials on researching your ancestry. Not saying you "have" to do it, but it is far more personal than dna.
I hate to break it to you, but there is no DNA test for that. Because all humans have the same type of DNA!
DNA can tell you if you’re related to another person, because the strands will look similar. It will also tell you that you are NOT a dog, or a sheep, or a lizard… because different species have different types of DNA. But all humans have the same type. We’re not as different as you might think
The best way to go about researching your family is to ask them. Then go to ancestry.com and trace the names back as far as you can go.
